Terms of use.
These terms govern your use of the site and explain what it is — and what it is not.
1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of landofenchantment.law and any related subdomains, pages, and online tools (the "Site") operated by the Law Office of Johnn Osborn, P.C., doing business as Land of Enchantment Law ("the Firm," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page. The revised Terms take effect on the date posted. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
2. Attorney advertising
This Site is attorney advertising and is intended for general informational purposes only. The Firm is responsible for the content of this Site. The principal attorney responsible for its content is Johnn Osborn, Esq., admitted to practice in the State of New Mexico and the State of Texas. Mailing addresses: 9621 4th St NW, Suite 505, Albuquerque, NM 87114 and 516 E. Lucero Ave, Suite 575, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
3. Not legal advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes legal advice or a legal opinion. Information on the Site is general in nature and is not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney about your specific legal situation. Laws change frequently, vary by jurisdiction, and depend on the facts. Do not act or refrain from acting on the basis of information on this Site without first seeking legal counsel licensed in the appropriate jurisdiction.
4. No attorney–client relationship
Using this Site, submitting a form, sending an email, scheduling a free intro call, or otherwise communicating with the Firm through the Site does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and the Firm. An attorney–client relationship is created only by a signed, written engagement letter executed by both you and an attorney at the Firm.
Until that engagement letter is signed, any information you transmit to the Firm is not protected by the attorney–client privilege or treated as confidential. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this Site or by email before an attorney–client relationship is established.
5. No guarantee of results
Past results and case descriptions are illustrative and do not guarantee or predict similar outcomes in any current or future matter. Every case is different and depends on its own facts, applicable law, and other factors outside the Firm's control.
6. Subscription services
Pages describing subscription plans, flat-fee services, member rates, and similar offerings are marketing summaries. The actual terms of any engagement — including scope, fees, response times, and limitations — are governed exclusively by the written engagement letter signed by you and the Firm. Where this Site and a signed engagement letter conflict, the engagement letter controls.
All fees remain subject to the reasonableness requirement of Rule 16-101.5(A) of the New Mexico Rules of Professional Conduct.
7. Jurisdiction & scope
The Firm's attorneys are licensed to practice law in New Mexico and Texas. The Site is directed to individuals and businesses in or with matters connected to those jurisdictions. Nothing on the Site is intended to be a solicitation or to constitute the practice of law in any jurisdiction where doing so would violate applicable law or rule.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, icons, and the overall design — is owned by the Firm or licensed to it and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. "Land of Enchantment Law" and the firm seal are trademarks of the Firm.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE FIRM, ITS ATTORNEYS, STAFF, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE — EVEN IF THE FIRM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
10. Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.
11. Contact
